GPS Navigation Software: Navitel Navigator

We would like to present you the brand new Navitel Navigator, made in Russia,
a versatile GPS navigation software, with 3-D view and autorouting, for Pocket PC PDAs
as well as smartphones (with OS Windows Mobile, Android, Symbian, iPhone)
with built-in or external GPS module. Custom PND versions also available.
 

Main satellite navigation functions:
 
  • coordinates of current location;
  • ETA, heading and distance towards the destination point;
  • speed and movement direction, altitude above the sea level;
  • exact time and date;
  • sunrise and sunset;
  • ...and much more!
 

The software is optimized for PDA displays:

  • Proximity alerts. POI warnings (speed cameras, dangers, etc.)

  • SMS feature (send SMS with your coordinates to any contact from your address book).
     

  • "Where are you?", which allows quick and easy finding your friends' location using SMS feature.

Simple, yet functional interface: 

  • Program operation without the stylus pen, particularly useful for drivers (big buttons on the touch screen). 
     

  • Day and night map views. Customizable skins.
     

  • Interface menu localization: English, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Hungarian, Greek, Bulgarian, Russian, Belarusian, Romanian and other languages (customizable for others).
     

  • Voice prompts in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Romanian and other languages (customizable for others). 
     

  • Automatic detection of GPS module's protocol and COM-port.

Maps are stored in compact vector NM2 proprietary format, using minimal space.
Note: the new ver.3 features LOCKED MAPS, which cannot be edited in Mapedit, but any MP or old NTM can be easily saved in NM2 using MapEdit.

Hardware requirements:

  • Pocket PC 2003, 2003 SE, Windows Mobile 2005, WM6
    (including Pocket PC smartphones with touchpad screens).
    Google Android version available from Nov. 27, 2009.
    Symbian version available from Feb. 8, 2010.
    IPhone version available from Aug. 31, 2010
     

  • From 1 to 10 MBytes of RAM (depends on the map loaded). 
    The Software can be installed on PDA's main memory, and on the external memory cards as well.
     

  • Support for VGA mode, portrait/landscape view, as well as square screens.
     

  • GPS-receivers: support for NMEA-0183, SiRF binary and Garmin; external module can be connected through the serial port, USB, BlueTooth, as well as CompactFlash, SDIO.
     

  • PNA versions available for selected devices (Mio Moov, Phantom and others).
